Kanye was on Ryan Seacrest this morning to explain his actions on Sunday night but instead exploded in anger at the
organisers of the Grammy Awards themselves vowing to
not return next year - unless they work with him to fix the
annual event.
Explaining his stage invasion to Ryan he said: 'You know, I
felt like just the whole Grammys, right when that happened,
everybody was looking at me and then people started
screaming, ''Kanye! Kanye
Go do it!''
'Ok, that didn’t really happen, these were voices in my
head. So the voices in my head told me go and then I just
walked up like halfway up the stage.'
The rapper said he was joking and did not do it to
disrespect 44-year-old Beck.
'You know, what I really wanted to do is just joke around
about what had happened before, but I just really didn’t
want to take away from Beck’s moment or the time he’s
having to talk because you know the Grammys, they play
music really quick no matter who you are and everything. 'So I just walked back down because you know, it was kindi
of a joke like the Grammys themselves.
Saying he would like to play basketball with Beck one day,
Kanye came the closest yet to apologising.
'First of all Beck is one of the nicest guys and one of the
most respected musicians in the game.
'So, there’s nothing that I will want to do as a fellow
musician to disrespect him in any way.'
Kanye also claims Beck admitted Beyonce deserved the
award.
'Beck afterwards literally said ''I think Beyonce should have
won.'''
Kanye added that it was something that was needed to be done.
'It’s almost like a chiropractor. You know, you just get a
little crook out like, ''Wow, this crook has been there!” It’s
just a little jolt of truth, right? And then you know, everyone
feels better after the fact, or everyone is way more famous
after the fact, or everyone sells way more albums after the
fact, and then Kanye just goes on being an ahole to
everyone.'

Kanye West vows to boycott
Grammys until they 'fix' voting
system as he launches into ANOTHER
rant about Beck's victory over
Beyonce

Rapper says voices in his head made him rush the
stage on Sunday
Claims Taylor Swift supported his actions, now wants
to work with her
Makes bizarre comparison between Beyonce's
treatment at the awards to Kim Kardashian's divorce
Explains his targeting of winner was not 'a black and
white thing' as 'racism is a distraction to humanity'
Do not expect Kanye West to say sorry any time soon.
The 37-year-old came very close to apologising to Beck for
ruining his Grammys acceptance and accusing him of not
'respecting artistry' on Wednesday morning - but then
ended up launching another bizarre rant.
The rapper was on Ryan Seacrest to explain his actions on
Sunday night but instead exploded in anger at the
organisers of the Grammy Awards themselves vowing to
not return next year - unless they work with him to fix the
annual event.
While the FourFiveSeconds star tried to catch himself a
number of times, he quickly slipped back into old Kanye
West mode - including referring to himself in third person.
Kanye raised eyebrows when he took to the stage when
Beck was named winner of Album of the Year for his work
Morning Phase, but then retreated to his seat making
everyone think it was a joking nod to when he rushed the
stage when Taylor Swift won a VMA in 2009.
Explaining his stage invasion to Ryan he said: 'You know, I
felt like just the whole Grammys, right when that happened,
everybody was looking at me and then people started
screaming, ''Kanye! Kanye!
Kanye opens up about storming in on Beck's Grammys win
'So I just walked back down because you know, it was kind
of a joke like the Grammys themselves.
Kanye also claims Beck admitted Beyonce deserved the
award.
'Beck afterwards literally said ''I think Beyonce should have
won.'''
However in the same breath as saying he does not think he
has the right to behave in such a way, the rapper said it was
something that needed to be done.
'It’s almost like a chiropractor. You know, you just get a
little crook out like, ''Wow, this crook has been there!” It’s
just a little jolt of truth, right? And then you know, everyone
feels better after the fact, or everyone is way more famous
after the fact, or everyone sells way more albums after the
fact, and then Kanye just goes on being an ahole to
everyone.'
He said the proof that this is the case was that Taylor - who
he famously rushed the stage at the MTV Video Awards in
2009 demanding that she give her award to Beyonce -
supported his actions on Saturday.
'Taylor Swift came up right afterwards and tells me I should
have gone on stage, that was the irony of the matter.'
Her support means Kanye now wants to work with the pop
star as he says he is 'not elitist' when it comes to sharing
his talent across genres.
'Yeah, she wants to get in the studio and we’re definitely
going to go in. Any artist with an amazing point of view,
perspective, fan base, I’m down to get in the studio and
work. I don’t discriminate.'
However, despite claiming his stage invasion was just a
hilarious homage, the husband of Kim Kardashian was note
joking during the E! after show when he launched a rant
against the veteran alt musician accusing him of not
'respecting artistry'.
'Well you know what happened? It’s because I sat there and
I kind of let that smoulder and I was asked my opinion and I
was given a platform. And when given a platform, it’s very
hard as we know - and I'm going to talk in third person like
I'm a crazy person - but it's very hard for Kanye West to
not be very true and vocal to what he feels.'
However on Wednesday, the Gold Digger musician said
while generally 'there was a good vibe' about what he did
during the awards, he did admit he misspoke when he
accused Beck of not respecting artistry.
'When I said that thing about respect artistry, I think it came
off the wrong way, and that was a mis-wording on my part
because obviously Beck is one the most respected artists
and respects artistry... but I felt that even though the
Grammys sometimes gives awards to people who you
wouldn’t think should win in the category, as a respect to
artists, we mention the other artist’s name in our speech.'
While bizarre enough, his rant really took an anger and
rather weird turn when it came to Grammy organisers.
As this year was Kanye's first time at the awards for six
years years, the star said he will not return unless
organisers work with him to award those people who bring
them the adverting they rely on.
'I will not go to the Grammys [again] until I sit with Neil
[Portnow], sit with Jimmy Jam, and fix the voting system so
that it is more in line with the popular vote as those who are
popular are the ones selling their advertising.'
The singer then compared how the Grammys treats popular
artists like himself and Beyonce to Kim's divorce.
He ranted: 'The Grammys are the dream, the dream, you
know when my wife got divorced... and sorry Kim to
discuss this but it's the best example of what I have right
now, she got a lot of backlash from the fans over it
because somehow there dream was broken because she is
a dream girl and they live vicariously through her.
'It feel like [the Grammys] divorce from us every year,
every year.
'There has to be some level of respect for the people that
have there that sell advertising for them.'
While many may argue success does not equal talent or
artistry, Kanye thinks otherwise and says it was because
Beyonce is so popular she did not get the award - and
needed him to fight for her.
'I believe she didn’t move and run to the stage because
she’s a respectful individual. But because she is so
successful, a lot of times, success disables your ability to
communicate exactly what the f**k you want to say!'
Still not done yet, Kanye said the Grammys were creating a
situation of classism as it was not allowing those blessed
with greatness give back.
'Life isn't fair because there is only a small group that are
talented enough or pretty enough... [so Grammys] is about
us given back to the masses.
'This is about music, we have to start right here start at the
Grammys, at any award show, we need to show we are the
world we are the inspiration, we are the people, that give
people inspiration as they drive to work.'
His fight for Beyonce was also not about race, despite
critics suggesting otherwise.
'I also wanted to stress to people that it’s not a black or
white thing at all. It’s not me always standing up for a
black artist.'
Controversially however, as his other artists fight to bring
racism to the surface - both Pharrell Williams and Common
acknowledge the police shooting of unarmed teen Michael
Brown in their Grammy performances - Kanye said it was a
'distraction'.
'I feel that racism is a distraction to humanity. We are one
race. We are the human race, period. And I feel that we
have to base our new society, the future post-Internet
society, off of blocks and bricks of truth.'
Kanye did take a breath at the end of the rather one-sided
interview - as Ryan could not get a word in edgeways - to
talk about his new single with Paul McCartney and Rihanna,
which he performed at the Grammys.
Speaking of the process of him working with Sir Paul to
create single FourFiveSeconds, Kanye said it harked back to
a time when the Beatle worked with the late John Lennon.
'As you can see, I might be a little bit more angst than Paul.
And remember the last time when Paul had somebody really
angst working with them, the type of music they made?
'Hey everyone, America, I’m not comparing myself to John
Lennon, I’m just saying I’m angst a bit like John Lennon.
And the tension, the tension creates a new magic. The
pressure creates the diamond from the coal.'
The rapper also revealed the full details about his long
awaited Yezzy 3 shoes with Adidas.
To be released on Saturday to the public, the shoes will
retail at $350 - a $100 more than expected - and only 9000
will be sold in the first run.
However, ruining the potential crazed rush for the shoes
slightly, Kanye said he plans to make enough available so
that everyone can have a pair.
He said: 'Everyone be safe and be patient... we will make
more Yeezys.
'When I was growing up everyone wanted Jordans, kids got
killed for Jordans that's why I want to make sure everyone
gets Yeezys.'
And as for his future in the fashion business, the musician
claims next year he plans to design school uniforms.
