Smart, 27, were spotted kissing backstage at her American Idol season 14 taping in West Hollywood.
On Monday, Casper told E! News that the dating rumours between him and Jennifer were completely untrue.
'We got a lot of ties. We're very close,' he said. 'We're friends. We're very good friends.'
Jennifer and Casper were last seen together at the Los Angeles premiere of their animated movie Home on March 22 in LA with her twins.
